WINNER: COOKBOOK OF THE YEAR, AND SINGLE SUBJECT CATEGORY
Jennifer McLagan’s Fat: An Appreciation of a Misunderstood Ingredient, with Recipes wins not only best cookbook in the Single Subject category, but Cookbook of The Year!
WINNER: COOKING FROM A PROFESSIONAL POINT OF VIEW CATEGORY
And “the debut cookbook from the restaurant Gourmet magazine named the best in the country,” Grant Achatz’s gorgeous Alinea won in the Cooking from a Professional Point of View category.
WINNER: RISING STAR CHEF OF THE YEAR AWARD
Nate Appleman, author of A16 Food + Wine, won the Rising Star Chef of the Year Award. As a Food & Wine Best New Chef and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Star Chef, Nate’s soulful cooking has been recognized by publications such as Bon Appétit, Gourmet, and Saveur.
